Maungatua Contracting's 8.2m Hardox trailer

It would be hard to miss this yellow Maungatua Contracting truck if it drove past! This is a new Kenworth featuring a super long 8.2m Hardox trailer.

An advantage of Hardox steel is we bring in big sheets – each side of this 8.2m trailer is formed from one sheet of steel! No seams, no laser welds, no weaknesses.

In fact, the steel was formed for this trailer using our 8.2m Yawei press brake which is right on the limit of the machine’s capabilities in terms of plate length.
